Mirissa is a small town on the south coast of Sri Lanka, located in the Matara District. It is one of Sri Lanka’s most popular tourist destinations for whale watching. Between November and April, blue whales — the largest animals on Earth — can be spotted just a few kilometres offshore. The crescent-shaped beach, lined with coconut palms, is ideal for relaxation and swimming.

Parrot Rock, accessible by a short swim or via the beach, offers panoramic views of the bay. Coconut Tree Hill provides a stunning photography location at golden hour.
