Overview
Diyatha Uyana is a beautifully landscaped waterfront park located along the Diyawanna Lake in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, just a few kilometres east of central Colombo. Developed as part of the urban beautification of Sri Lanka’s parliamentary precinct, the park offers a serene escape from the city noise with well-maintained pathways, decorative bridges, manicured gardens, and a series of floating platforms and pavilions over the lake. The park is particularly popular in the late afternoons and evenings when families come for leisurely walks, children’s activities, and to enjoy the sunset over the water.
