Hikkaduwa is a small town on the south coast of Sri Lanka in the Galle District. It is popular with tourists for its coral reef, beach, and sea turtles. The coral sanctuary just offshore from the beach is a popular snorkelling spot. Sea turtles — green, leatherback, loggerhead, olive ridley, and hawksbill — nest on and near Hikkaduwa beach. The town also has a lively nightlife scene and excellent seafood restaurants.
