Overview
Induruwa is a quieter stretch of the southwest coast between Kosgoda and Hikkaduwa where several small beach sections — tucked between the boutique hotels and guesthouses — provide a more natural and less crowded alternative to the busy Hikkaduwa beach to the south. The Induruwa beaches are protected from the worst of the Indian Ocean swell by the offshore reef and the natural beach profile, and the clear, calm water in season is excellent for swimming. The natural character of the beach, the casuarina tree backing, and the relatively low development intensity create a southwest coast beach experience of genuine quality.
